The conference welcomes original contributions describing technically rigorous scientific and research advances in the area of social robotics and AI: innovative ideas and concepts, new discoveries and improvements, novel applications on the latest fundamental advances in the core technologies that form the backbone of social robotics as well as distinguished studies and projects pertaining the social robotics and its interaction and impact in our society.
Papers should contain original research that has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Papers should be written in English.
All papers will be submitted and reviewed via the METEOR Springer submission system. Authors are invited to submit the complete article in PDF format, following the Instructions for Authors provided here. For detailed guidance, please refer to Springer’s author guidelines, available for both LaTeX and Word submissions.
Springer’s proceedings LaTeX templates are also available in Overleaf. Full papers should be of 11 pages of the main body of the paper plus references as needed (11 + n). Additional pages of the main body of the paper (12 or more + n) are allowed, but at an extra charge of 50 euro total for all additional pages. The front page must contain the title of the paper, full name(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the appropriate academic field(s). Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. All papers will be refereed by the program committee.
To submit your paper, click HERE or use the submission button. You can find the guidelines for paper submission on the METEOR system HERE.
PUBLICATION
The Proceedings of ICSR 2025 will be published by Springer International Publishing as part of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series (LNAI), a topical subseries of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). The proceedings of the conference are indexed by EI Compendex, SpringerLink, Scopus and more.
Authors of papers accepted for inclusion in the proceedings volume published by Springer are required to adhere to the Springer Code of Conduct, which can be found HERE.
Selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in specific Special Issues (SIs) of various journals. One confirmed Special Issue is “Creative Robotics, Theatre, and Performance Arts” in the International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media. More details can be found at: Taylor & Francis Special Issue.

The International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR) 2025 welcomes the social robotics community to share their latest unpublished research and ongoing work through Short Paper submissions. Short paper submissions will be accepted in the same topic area as full papers. Similar to ICSR Regular papers, ICSR Short Papers will undergo a thorough and rigorous peer-review process. They will be published in the proceedings of the conference by Springer International Publishing as part of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series (LNAI), a topical subseries of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). The proceedings of the conference are indexed by SpringerLink and Scopus.
Short papers should address timely problems in the community and represent content which is not yet mature enough for a full paper, but which is thought to have an impact on social robotics in the future.
Short papers will be presented as posters.
Additionally, during a dedicated teaser talks session, authors of short papers can present their work in brief 5-minute talks to attract attendees to visit their posters during the upcoming poster sessions.
Demos or video contents could be attached to the submission as additional materials.
This format offers researchers an excellent opportunity to share recent findings and work-in-progress, actively participate in the conference, gain visibility, and foster collaboration within the social robotics community. Early-stage researchers are explicitly encouraged to participate in order to take advantage of early feedback on their research from their peers and seniors.
